Let’s go back to the opening scene. The Littles (George, Frederick, and Eleanor) are a perfect, WASPy, upper-west-side portrait. They are beige, quiet, and orderly. They visit an orphanage. But this isn’t Annie. There are no montages of sad children singing. Instead, the orphanage is a sterile, lonely place where the only soul who makes eye contact is a tiny mouse in a blue turtleneck. stuart little 1999

While Stuart is the protagonist, the film is arguably stolen by Snowbell, voiced by the incomparable Nathan Lane.
