Limitations

Available online options (summary)

  1. Official CSI cloud/online tools — CSI primarily provides desktop ETABS; there is limited official cloud viewer/export functionality integrated into newer CSI services, but full online editing/viewing is uncommon.
  2. Third-party viewers/converters — Some web services accept common exported formats (IFC, DXF, CSV) for viewing structural geometry and some attributes.
  3. BIM/IFC web viewers — If the ETABS model is exported to IFC, you can use online BIM viewers to inspect geometry and element properties.
  4. File converters — Tools that convert ETABS exports to neutral formats (IFC, SAF, STL) enabling online viewing.
  5. Remote desktop / Cloud VM — Run ETABS on a cloud VM or remote desktop and access the full application from a browser — closest to native experience but requires license and setup.
