Mlx90614 Proteus Library π Essential
Important Note: Proteus does not include the MLX90614 in its default library. You must download or create a custom library. This guide covers both methods.
1. Introduction
The MLX90614 is a contactless IR temperature sensor with a digital SMBus/I2C output (addressable), commonly used to measure object and ambient temperatures. Proteus lacks an official behavioral model for the device; creating a custom library enables circuit simulation and firmware testing. mlx90614 proteus library
High Precision: Features a 17-bit ADC and a measurement resolution of Important Note: Proteus does not include the MLX90614
5. Creating the Schematic Symbol
- Symbol pins: VDD, GND, SDA, SCL, ALERT (if present), PWM (if variant), NC pins for thermal sensor inputs (for thermal modeling hooks).
- Pin electrical types: supply, passive, digital.
- Graphical conventions: clear pin labels, value field for address and emissivity parameters.
- Attribute fields: I2C address, emissivity, ta_offset, measurement_noise, use_pwm.
- Step-by-step Proteus symbol creation instructions (menus, properties, pin mapping).
