- Arcade ROMs: A legal loophole exists for many arcade ROMs because the original decryption keys have expired or are not enforced. The Update_All script legally downloads "decrypted" ROMs for cores like CPS1 and CPS2.
- BIOS: You usually must source the PlayStation (
psx boot.rom) and Sega CD BIOS files yourself. However, most "TOSEC" Mister Rom Packs include them pre-configured. - First-Party Nintendo: Packs containing Nintendo Switch Online ROMs are frowned upon. Stick to "No-Intro" sets that use verified dumps of physical cartridges.
