2. Simulation Stuck or Frozen

Limitations and notes

Many community Proteus libraries are schematic-only (symbol + footprint) without a behavioral model, so live sensor simulation (realistic SpO2/HR output) may not be possible.
Validate pinouts and footprints against the MAX30100 datasheet before committing to PCB design.
Prefer libraries from reputable sources (GitHub with stars, active forum threads) to reduce risk of incorrect footprints or corrupted files.
If no Proteus model exists, you can simulate the MCU and stub sensor behavior using signal generators or scripted virtual instruments, or test code on actual hardware.
