5. Key Adjustments (Manual Choke version assumed)
Float level
- Invert cover with float hanging down
- Measure from gasket surface to top of float (spec: usually ~15–17 mm for DCH340)
- Adjust by bending float tab (not tang on needle)
Exclusive Warning: The Hitachi 2 gargantas has an "air bleed" jet hidden behind a pressed-in plug near the choke horn. Do not remove that plug unless you have an ultrasonic cleaner. Most novices damage the idle air bleed here.
