6. Configure JAF Settings
In JAF main window:
tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) Admin Privileges : Check the box for "Run this program as an administrator" to prevent access denied errors. The blue LED on the JAF box flickered,
- Driver Signing Override: Windows 7 32-bit allows easier installation of unsigned drivers (compared to 64-bit or Windows 8/10).
- Legacy Compatibility: The JAF Box drivers were originally written for Windows XP and Vista. Windows 7 32-bit maintains better backward compatibility.
- Stability: Unlike Windows 10, Windows 7 does not forcibly update drivers that may break JAF functionality.
- Resource Efficiency: The JAF software (v1.98 RC, v1.99, etc.) runs smoothly on 32-bit architecture without memory addressing issues.
