How To: Hard Reset Xiaomi Redmi S2

Important Disclaimer: A hard reset will erase ALL data from your phone’s internal storage, including apps, contacts, messages, photos, and music. Please back up your data to your Mi Cloud, Google Account, or a PC before proceeding.

Step 1: Turn off the phone completely.

  1. Unlock your XIAOMI Redmi S2.
  2. Open the Settings app (the gear icon).
  3. Scroll down and tap Additional Settings.
  4. Tap Backup & reset.
  5. Tap Factory data reset.
  6. You will see a list of all accounts and apps that will be erased. Review the list carefully.
  7. Tap Reset Phone (or Erase all data).
  8. The phone may ask for your lock screen PIN/Pattern.
  9. Finally, tap Next and then Confirm.
