Extra Missions: Includes new side activities like "Playground on the Dock" and "Caddy Daddy". Gta Vice City Stories Psp Ps2 Assets
- PSP (Original): Assets were designed for a 480x272 pixel screen. Textures—especially on billboards, car paintjobs, and road surfaces—are aggressively compressed. However, due to the small screen, they look sharp. Rockstar used heavy dithering to hide color banding.
- PS2 (Port): The resolution jumps to 640x448 (interlaced). Most textures were bilinearly filtered but not re-painted. This creates a "muddy" look. The famous "V-Rock" billboard, crisp on PSP, looks like a JPEG artifact on PS2 because you are literally zooming into the same 128x128 image.
- The Exception: Character faces. In cutscenes, PS2 features slightly higher-resolution face textures for Victor and Lance, likely because the original PSP renders were too pixelated on a TV.
The PS2 version received significant graphical upgrades, making it look much better on a television screen compared to the PSP's handheld resolution. Resolution & Textures: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories - PSP
Trails and Lighting: The PS2 version restores the "Trails" post-processing effect from the original GTA: Vice City, which was absent on PSP. PSP (Original): Assets were designed for a 480x272
