The Goodgame Empire Test Server (also known as the Open Test Server) is a specialized environment where players can experience upcoming features, events, and balance changes before they officially launch on live servers. Managed by Goodgame Studios (GGS), this server acts as a critical quality assurance tool, allowing the community to hunt for bugs and provide feedback to refine the gaming experience. Key Features of the Test Server
- Don't Hoard Resources: Resources are abundant. Use them to test the most expensive units (Kingsguard, Demon Horror units) to see if they fit your playstyle before buying them on your main account.
- Join an Alliance: The Test Server community is smaller and more tight-knit. Joining an alliance allows you to coordinate massive battles (like capturing a capital) which are difficult to test solo.
- Report Bugs: The primary purpose of the server is to find glitches. If a building doesn't upgrade correctly or a tool malfunctions, take a screenshot and post it in the official "Bug Reports" section of the forum. You might earn forum recognition for your help!
Strategy #1: The "Buddy Test"
Invite a friend from your live alliance to the TS. Recreate your real-world castles as closely as possible (same wall levels, same trap layouts). Then, attack each other using the new patch mechanics. You will learn exactly what beats your current defense before the patch hits live.
Direct Feedback Loop: Players gain access to an exclusive English-only test server forum to communicate directly with the Quality Assurance (QA) team. How to Access the Test Server
Step 3: Email Invitation (Rare)
- Power users, YouTubers, and top alliance leaders sometimes receive direct email invites. Check the email associated with your GoodGame account.
Support: There is no dedicated support for the test server. All communication and reporting must go through the official English forum.
