11) Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Spamming prisms without synergy — placement matters more than quantity.
- Failing to protect prisms; they are priority targets for enemies.
- Over-relying on single-target without building up refractive chains.
- Positioning too far forward without a tank to absorb initial focus fire.
- S-Tier: Orbital Cannon (Top of "Targeting Optics") - Ranged, Pierce, 3 attack. This is your workhorse. It sits in the back and cleans up shielded enemies.
- S-Tier: Hard Light Conduit (Top of "Reinforced Hologram") - 4 HP, Retaliate 2, and a 2-attack melee. Excellent for tanking hits.
- A-Tier: Image of Life (Top of "Holographic Decoy") - Low HP but forces enemy focus away from allies. Invaluable for protecting a wounded party member.
- B-Tier: Force Amplifier (Top of "Feedback Matrix") - Grants +1 Attack to adjacent allies. Fantastic in a melee-heavy party (Drifter, Boneshaper).
- C-Tier: Reconfiguration Node (Top of "System Reboot") - Movement support. Generally, you summon this, move, then swap out immediately.
- D-Tier: Basic Pulse (Default summon) - Only use this if you have literally no other cards left.
Mechanical Prototype (Top): Your bread and butter. It provides a reliable summon that acts as your primary proxy. (also known as the ) is a complex,
Build 2: The Fractal Swarm (Duplication Build)
Requires Level 5 (Duplication Protocol) and Perk: "Ignore Negative Item Effects" (for armor).
Goal: Maintain two Modes simultaneously. Usually, Hard Light Conduit (tank) and Force Amplifier (support).
Key Cards: Duplication Matrix (L5), Cascading Images (L4), Reality Nexus (L9).
Playstyle: Turn 1: Summon Conduit. Turn 2: Play Duplication Matrix bottom to summon Force Amplifier. Now your Conduit has +1 attack, and you have two bodies blocking enemies. Use Mode Switch on one to refresh its HP, but keep the pair alive.
Pros: Unmatched board control. Feels like commanding an army.
Cons: Requires high prosperity for Cloak of Pockets. Weak to AoE enemies. Spamming prisms without synergy — placement matters more
Party Synergies
- Best Friend: Boneshaper. Your Modes block for their skeletons. Their skeletons take hits for your Modes. You both love "Summon enhancement" items.
- Good Partner: Blinkblade. You provide the tanky Mode; they provide the burst damage. You both work on fast/slow initiative cycles.
- Neutral: Deathwalker. Neither helps nor hurts. Just don't block their shadows.
- Bad Partner: Trap. Your Modes can accidentally step on traps. Communication is mandatory.
Hand Slot (Weapons)
- Best: Volatile Bomb (Your Mode's attacks become AoE on the turn you summon it via Mode Switch).
- Best: Horn of Summoning (Summon a random bear. Why? It distracts enemies from your real Modes).
