Firmware version
- Driver Corruption: A recent Windows update or system crash may have corrupted the "Esaudriver" driver files.
- Default Device Conflict: The system may be trying to play audio through a different device (e.g., HDMI monitor audio or a virtual audio cable) rather than the Esaudriver.
- Service Failure: The Windows Audio service may have stopped responding.
- Ensure the audio jack (3.5mm or USB) is firmly seated in the correct port.
- If the device uses a power adapter, verify it is receiving power (look for LED indicators).
- Press
Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type
mmsys.cpl and hit Enter. This opens the classic Sound Control Panel.
- Click the Playback tab.
- Locate ESAUDriver in the list.
- Right-click it and select Disable.
- Restart your computer.

Lenovo Vantage → Audio → Reset ESAUDRIVER settings.
- Install Conexant SmartAudio HD driver (sometimes same device).
