The official Discord application no longer supports Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Current versions of Discord require Android 7.0 or higher to function properly.

Inside Discord:
- Disable Animations: Go to User Settings > Accessibility and turn off "Animate Emojis" and "Sticker Suggestions".
- Turn off Automatic Media Playback: Settings > Text & Images → Disable "Autoplay GIFs" and "Autoplay Videos".
- Reduce number of servers: Every server you join loads in the background. Leave any inactive servers.
- Use plain text mode: In Appearance, enable "Compact" message density.
- Downloaded the latest Discord APK from the official website.
- Installed the APK on an Android 4.4.4 device (Samsung Galaxy S3).
- Tested the app's functionality, focusing on core features such as messaging, voice chat, and screen sharing.
Considerations
As of my last update, Discord has been optimizing its app for newer versions of Android, and there might be limitations or specific considerations for older versions like Android 4.4.4. The official Discord application no longer supports Android
