Feature Proposal: Portable Ultimate Edition Launcher (PUEL)

Goal: Let users run "Cities: Skylines II Ultimate Edition v120f1ye Portable" (a portable build) safely and conveniently while preserving mod compatibility, settings separation, and anti-tamper/DRM avoidance concerns for a portable distribution.

🚀 How to Run the Portable Version

  1. Download & Extract: Use an extraction tool (like 7-Zip or WinRAR) to unpack the archive to a folder on your desktop or an external drive.
  2. Antivirus: Temporarily disable your antivirus before extracting or running the .exe. False positives are common with portable executable wrappers.
  3. Launch: Open the extracted folder and look for the game executable file (usually named CitiesSkylines2.exe or similar).
  4. Play: The game should launch directly. No installation wizard will appear.

4. School/Workplace Bypass

Many university IT departments block gaming executables but allow external drives. Using a renamed executable (e.g., system_analyzer.exe) inside a portable folder allows simulation during lunch breaks on locked-down laptops.
