The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique 15- to 17-digit fingerprint
The IMEI is a unique 15-digit number used to identify a device on a mobile network. If a phone displays "Invalid SIM," "Emergency Calls Only," or shows a generic IMEI such as 135790246811222, the device cannot connect to a cellular network.
These tools do not "hack" or "change" IMEIs arbitrarily; rather, they restore the original IMEI stored on the NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) partition. If the NVRAM is corrupt, the tool injects a valid IMEI string directly into the modem firmware.
