1. Overview: What is the bq40370?

The bq40370 is a Li-Ion / Li-Polymer battery pack manager with a CEDV (Compensated End of Discharge Voltage) gas gauge. It integrates:

• If you are repairing a device with a bq40370, assume you cannot reset it without an EV2400 and OEM keys.
• If you are designing a new product, look at the BQ40Z50 or BQ28Z610.
• Always protect the sense resistor traces; a damaged sense line will cause the bq40370 to report –273°C (0x0000) and trigger a PF.
