Autodesk Revit 2019 Installation And Activation

Part 1: Before You Begin

System Requirements (Minimum)

• OS: Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit), Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Windows 10 (64-bit)
• CPU: 2.5 GHz+ (3+ GHz recommended)
• RAM: 8 GB (16+ GB recommended)
• Disk Space: 10 GB free
• Display: 1280 x 1024 (1920 x 1080 recommended)
• Graphics: DirectX 11 capable

Step 1: Download the Installer

Unlike older versions that used physical DVDs, Revit 2019 is distributed digitally.

• Install NLM on your designated license server (Windows Server recommended).
• Configure the license file or port and ensure server hostname/IP is resolvable by clients.
• On client workstations choose “Use a Network License” and point to the license server.
• Verify license checkout with lmtools or Autodesk’s utilities.

Single-user activation (typical):

• A: Windows Defender Credential Guard blocks older Autodesk activators. Turn off Credential Guard via Group Policy (gpedit.msc > Computer Config > Admin Templates > System > Device Guard > Turn off virtualization-based security).
